Hi there im Collette , the owner and head maker of pretty things here at Colls finishing touch
I am a mom of one and I first started my business over 18 years ago, starting from a little hobby with accessories such as jewellery and unique gifts.
My items to my surprise became popular, making me realise I might actually be able to do this as a business .
I have always been creative from such a small age from painting murals on my bed room walls to making presents for family and friends.
Now I combining my passions for crafting and making pretty things .
I branched off into weddings and special occasions, when I started helping organise family weddings and events and finally working as a coordinator within the wedding and events industry, at the same time within my business being asked to create hair pieces and favours later carrying this on using my unique beads for both bouquets and other one of bouquets including pearls, .
As the years have gone on I have just increased building my business developing my skills in floristry and venue dress, it seems to have just all come together the creative side I have , knowledge I have learnt and the skills I have enhanced . I absolutely love what I do in all aspects from creating beautiful flowers to the enjoyment of helping a couple with their big day.
I am very lucky ,I get to do what I love , have unique time to spend with my little girl as she grows up and the amazing support from my family/team.
Although the business is mainly me - it wouldn't function without my family , as we have now become a complete family business and their the reasons for doing what I do.
In the workshop, the other half and brother in-law handcraft many of our products, Maintaining all the electrical equipment and often helping transport and set up at events.
My sister and Nieces are my right had ladies and always the ones to call for a perfect bow. You can even often find our four year old little girl tagging along at wedding fayres or event set ups including on occasions a spot of painting.
Finally my incredible mom is my assistant on our large setups , she is also our rock and guidance when it comes to business and life. When booking with us you become part of this family as it is are passion to provide a service that we are all proud of xxxxxxxx

Opening Hours
Consultations are by appointment only as it is my home as well also my workshop and is usually a sea of flowers, vinyl and paper cuttings!
Our appointments are also available at your desired location so we also come to you during the following hours around our weddings. I am a working mommy so our opening hours flow around our little one so I am not able to take appointments just before or after the school run.
Monday - Thursday 10.00am - 7.00pm
Please note that my studio is not a showroom...it is very much my workshop. The best place to see our pieces are on the social media feed - we don't have them set up at home.

When you book us to style your day, you don't just become a booking in our diary...you become part of the family.
We are so proud of our reviews as they reflect the level of work that goes into all of our events.
If you decide to book with us, all of our packages require a none fundable deposit, Then once we have received your deposit we will pop over your booking contract by the end of that working month , and you can add to your package anytime up to four weeks before your wedding which is when your balance is due.
We always ask our clients to chat with us so we can get to know you a little better! We meet all of our couples at around 12 months and 3 months before the wedding to finalise plans, but at the same time 24/7 always at the end of an email or message to chat .
